Gemstone Cake
A creative cake decorated to look like a jewel-covered masterpiece.

Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease two 9-inch round cake pans.

In a large mixing bowl, combine the flour, sugar, cocoa powder, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.

Add the eggs, milk, vegetable oil, and vanilla extract to the dry ingredients. Mix until well combined.

Carefully stir in the boiling water and black food coloring until the batter is smooth.

Pour the batter evenly into the prepared pans and bake for 30-35 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean. Let cool completely.

For the frosting, beat the butter until creamy. Gradually add powdered sugar and heavy cream until desired consistency is reached.
