Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms

By creating an account or using Recipe Manager (the "Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old to use Recipe Manager. If you are under 18, you must have your parent or guardian's consent.

3. Your Account

You are responsible for keeping your account credentials secure and for all activity on your account. Notify us immediately if you suspect unauthorized access.

4. Your Content

You retain ownership of the recipes, photos, notes, and other content you create or upload ("Your Content"). By using the Service, you grant Recipe Manager a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, store, display, and process Your Content solely to operate and improve the Service.

You are responsible for Your Content. Do not upload content that:

• Infringes anyone's intellectual property or privacy rights
• Is illegal, harmful, or deceptive
• Contains malware or security exploits
• Is used for spam, scraping, or abusive automation

5. Importing Third-Party Recipes

When you import a recipe from a website, Instagram, YouTube, or another source, you are responsible for respecting the source's terms of service and applicable copyright law. Recipes are generally considered factual information, but original creative expression (photos, personal commentary, exact wording) may be protected. Use imports for personal use.

6. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Reverse engineer or attempt to access non-public areas of the Service
• Use the Service to send unsolicited marketing (spam)
• Interfere with, disrupt, or overload the Service
• Create accounts by automated means, except with our written permission
• Abuse the import features to bulk-scrape third parties

7. Free and Paid Plans

Some features are free, subject to usage limits. Paid plans provide additional features and higher limits. Pricing, billing cycles, and trial details are shown on the pricing page at checkout. You may cancel at any time; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period unless required otherwise by law.

8. Refunds

Subscription fees are non-refundable except where required by law (e.g. 14-day right of withdrawal in the European Union for consumer transactions). EU consumers may exercise their right of withdrawal via our withdrawal form. For other refund requests, contact support@recipe-manager.app.

9. Termination

You may delete your account at any time from Settings > Danger Zone. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms or that we reasonably believe pose security or legal risks. We will make reasonable efforts to notify you before termination except in urgent cases.

10. AI Output Disclaimer

Recipe Manager uses AI models to extract, classify, and describe recipes. AI output may contain errors, omissions, or inaccurate nutritional information. Do not rely on the Service for medical, dietary, or allergen advice. Always verify ingredients and preparation steps against the original source before consuming.

11. Warranty Disclaimer

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.

12. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, Rey A. Castro Terrero'S TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIMS ARISING FROM OR RELATED TO THESE TERMS OR THE SERVICE SHALL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US IN THE 12 MONTHS BEFORE THE CLAIM AROSE, OR USD 100, WHICHEVER IS GREATER.

13. Indemnification

You agree to defend and indemnify Rey A. Castro Terrero against claims arising from Your Content, your use of the Service, or your violation of these Terms.

14. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be communicated by email or an in-app notice at least 14 days before taking effect. Continued use of the Service after the effective date constitutes acceptance.

15. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Rhode Island, United States, without regard to conflict-of-laws principles. Disputes will be resolved in the courts of Rhode Island, United States, except where mandatory consumer protection law provides otherwise.
